We are so pleased to announce that through our successful auction at the Utah Readers Luncheon this year, we were able to donate over $1,000 to Project Read. We received the following in an email today from the organization's Executive Director, Shauna K. Brown...
"Fall is in the air. I adore cool, crisp mornings that warm into the most glorious afternoons. Fall colors--don't you just love looking up into the mountains turning every shade of yellow, red, and brown? Soup and homemade bread. Curling up with a good book, snuggled in a blanket, with a cup of cocoa. Football season. Soccer season. Play season. And you...the Utah Readers Luncheon, making a difference in the lives of students like Enrique, who has been working on improving his employment skills and then improved his employment situation. Thank you for supporting his efforts. We appreciate your generous donation...to help us eradicate illiteracy in Utah. Your ongoing support ensures that we have the resources to support the 150,000 adults in Salt Lake and Utah Counties who need our help. We look forward to collaborating with you in the future." We look forward to an ongoing relationship with Project Read in the future and hope to continue to make a difference in the lives of people like Enrique. Thank you SO much to all who attended and helped to make the event, and our auction, successful.
